Celebration of Arts and Sciences Night: A Night to Shine and Discover

Families walk around the Glow Room to see all of the artwork.

Coventry Elementary was filled with excitement and creativity during our Celebration of Arts and Sciences Night, an evening that showcased the many talents and skills of our students across multiple subject areas. Families enjoyed exploring student work, performances, and interactive learning experiences throughout the building.

The night included two wonderful choral performances led by our Music teacher, Ms. Gellene. First grade students charmed the audience with their performance of Pajama Party, followed by a meaningful and energetic performance of Our Great Virginia by our fourth grade students. These performances highlighted students’ hard work and growing confidence as performers.

In the art gallery, Mrs. Turek hosted a stunning display of student artwork featuring pieces from every student in the building. Families admired the wide variety of creative work and were especially excited by the Glow Gallery, which added an extra touch of excitement and wonder to the evening.

Technology and problem-solving were on full display during the Computer Science Expo hosted by Mrs. Reames. Students took the lead as they taught their parents about coding skills they have learned this year and participated in additional unplugged activities that emphasized computational thinking and collaboration.

We truly appreciate the hard work of our students and teachers who made this event possible, as well as the families who came out to support and celebrate learning. Our Celebration of Arts and Sciences Night was a wonderful reminder of how powerful it is when creativity, curiosity, and community come together.
