Our SCA plays an important role in keeping our school connected by recording morning news two days a week for the Coventry News Network. This student-led broadcast is an exciting opportunity for students to take the lead each morning as they guide the Pledge of Allegiance, observe a respectful minute of silence, and share school-wide announcements. Student anchors work together to prepare and present the news in a clear and engaging way, building confidence, responsibility, and speaking skills along the way.

CNN also highlights important information for our school community, including upcoming events, celebrations, and Cougar Bucks Milestone recipient classes. These shout-outs help recognize positive behavior and achievements while keeping students and staff informed about what is happening around the school. Being part of the news team allows students to collaborate, practice leadership, and learn how teamwork contributes to a successful broadcast.

Classrooms across the school enjoy tuning in to watch the Morning News, especially when they see classmates sharing the spotlight. Watching peers lead the announcements helps students feel connected and proud of their school community. The Coventry News Network has become a meaningful part of our school culture, bringing students together and helping everyone start the day feeling informed, included, and inspired.
